Park People's 3rd Annual Summit

Saturday Mar. 2, 2013 • 1:30pm-5:30pm, at the Daniels Spectrum (Regent Park Arts Centre).

Anyone interested in our city parks and green spaces -- either already involved in parks group or thinking of starting something -- will find this afternoon full of inspriation and ideas and useful people to know (attendees include other parks groups, individuals, city councillors, parks department staff, etc).

There will be pithy presentations by neighbors organising things and this year's keynote speaker is Mickey Fearn, the Deputy Director of the US National Park Service in Washington DC, who has led inspiring initiatives in cities across the US focused on reaching out to diverse communities and youth, connecting them with parks and nature and eliminating discrimination.

You can REGISTER NOW for this free event. Donations will be accepted at the door. Park People is a project of Tides Canada, a registered charity, and we rely on donations to undertake our work.

You can also follow @Park_People on Twitter and stay connected to the event with #ParkPeople2013
