The market operates during the growing season in Ontario – May to October. It is located under the beautiful tree canopy at the north-west corner of the park at Dundas Street West and Shaw Street. Our Mandate is to support and increase access to fresh, local, sustainable and organic agriculture. To educate the community in the food they eat, the source from which it comes and how it is grown and/or prepared. We like slow food, not fast food and eating at hearth and home with your loved ones.
TRINITY BELLWOODS FARMERS’ MARKET is not an ‘event’ or a ‘festival’. It is categorically a farmers’ market. We prioritize Ontario farmers who grow using regenerative, ethical, and ancestral agricultural practices. Our inclusion of food artisans is limited to those who prioritize ingredients sourced in Ontario and/or Canada–certified organic ingredients is the ideal when obtainable. Our modest size is determined by a permit capacity issued from the city. This affects the curation of our vendors and helps to minimize our footprint on the park environment. We honour the relationship we have cultivated with the park and its surrounding neighbourhood.

Humble Beginnings
The Trinity Bellwoods Farmers’ Market seed was planted in 2006 by FoTBP members Scott Cinello and Carolyn Wong. They spend a year researching, connecting with city, sorting out logistics, curating the vendor line up, collecting over 600 support signatures from the community and with the Councillor on board, applied for a City permit. It opened June 5th of 2007. Since then, it has become a beloved seasonal fixture in the neighbourhood for shopping directly from Ontario farmers and food artisans who highlight local ingredients in their product. 2026 marks 20 years of running!
